Little Emily came to my studio for her Newborn Session with her big sister. She did so well! She was 9 days old and almost 9 pounds! She did not look it though! She was cluster feeding, but we powered through it. Cluster feeding is very common in newborns just over a week old. Cluster feeding is when a newborn wants to eat every 20-40 minutes.

How do I continue my sessions when the baby just wants to eat eat eat?

I let them eat eat eat :)

We take our time and sip our coffee.

Whether the mother brings pumped milk, formula, or is breast feeding, we make it work. Establishing routine is impossible with a newborn so when they want food, you give them food. I am so thankful for the amazing mothers that come to my studio. Emily came into my studio for a 60 mini newborn studio, but because of her cluster feeding, I spent two hours on her session, and that's okay! It's baby's schedule, not mine. I am in love with her little gallery and the variety of her session. Some babies will not even let me do more than 2 poses. Emily gave us 6!
